Things That Are True Open the cards

For Parents

You don’t need to be an expert to use these cards. A few minutes a day, said out loud together, is enough for the words to take root.

How to use a card

  1. Ask the question on the front. At first, say the answer together. Soon your child will say it on their own.
  2. Turn the card over (tap it) for a question to talk about and the Bible verse behind the truth.
  3. Start with the root truths. Cards marked “Root truth” are the foundation for each part. The rest grow from them.
  4. Say a few every day: at breakfast, in the car, at bedtime. Repetition is the point.
  5. Use them in the moment. When fear, a fight, or a big feeling comes up, ask the question that fits. Your child already knows the answer.

What’s in the app

Not sure what you think about the Bible?

That’s okay. You’re welcome here, and you don’t need to have it all figured out to say these truths with your child. Many parents find us because their kids are scared, or fighting, or full of big feelings, and they want help. That’s a good place to start.

Some cards use words like “saved,” “sin,” or “the Holy Spirit.” What We Believe explains each one in plain words, with the verses behind it. And if you have questions about the Bible, about God, or about anything on these cards, we’d love to hear them. Send us a note, and let’s talk.

These truths are for you too

The fears and feelings our kids wrestle with are the same ones we do. When you say a card with your child, say it to yourself too. Read why we made this.
